With Gratitude from the Fish Fry Committee
The 2025 Plainfield UMC Community Fish Fry was a joyful, delicious, and impactful event—and it’s all thanks to you.
From the very first planning meeting to the final cleanup, this year’s Fish Fry was made possible by the dedication, energy, and generosity of our entire church family. More than 300 volunteer shifts were filled across both days of the event, and every role mattered—whether you fried fish, grilled chicken, baked desserts, greeted guests, ran meals, managed parking, cleaned tables, washed dishes, restocked supplies, or helped spread the word.
Your efforts welcomed hundreds of guests from all over Plainfield and beyond. Many came for the food—but they also left having experienced the warmth, love, and hospitality that define this church. Whether it was through a smile at the drive-thru, a kind word under the tent, or a child receiving a hand-delivered meal, you were part of something much bigger than a meal.
We’re also proud to share that this year’s Fish Fry raised meaningful funds to support our youth ministries, scholarships, and outreach efforts. Every plate served helps send kids to camp, fund mission trips, support families in need, and sustain ministries that make a difference all year long.
This event is more than just a fundraiser. It’s a celebration of who we are as a church—a community that comes together, serves together, and shines God’s love into the world.
From all of us on the Fish Fry Committee:
Thank you for showing up. Thank you for serving. Thank you for making it special.
We’re already looking forward to next year!
