Hope Starts With a Hand Towel

Lent is a season of prayer, sacrifice, and service. This year, let’s turn our devotion into action.

Throughout Lent, we will collect items to assemble Personal Dignity Kits for Midwest Mission. These disaster relief kits provide essential hygiene supplies to people facing crisis in the United States and around the world.

When disaster strikes, something as simple as soap, shampoo, or a clean towel restores more than hygiene—it restores dignity.

Each kit must include only the requested, new items:

  • 1 hand towel (no kitchen towels)
  • 1 washcloth (no dishcloths)
  • 1 adult toothbrush (no multi-packs)
  • 1 bar soap (3–4 oz.)
  • 1 shampoo (12–19 oz.)
  • 1 deodorant (2–3 oz., stick, roll-on, or pump)
  • 1 lotion (8–10 oz.)
  • 1 one-gallon resealable plastic bag

A $2 donation helps cover toothpaste and the carrying bag.

We will gather as one church family to pack these kits and send hope where it is urgently needed. Show up. Bring your items. Invite a friend. Stay after worship and make a tangible difference.
