Youth Worship — Sunday, Apr. 5 10 a.m. • Room 200 This Sunday: Peace Worth Rising For
This week in youth, we’ll celebrate the resurrection by focusing on when Jesus appeared to his disciples and said, “Peace be with you.” Students will explore how this peace isn’t based on circumstances, but on Jesus’ presence in the midst of fear and uncertainty. We’ll talk about the cost of that peace—and why it was worth it. Together, we’ll reflect on where we need peace and what it means to receive it. A powerful reminder: the resurrection isn’t just about what Jesus did—it’s about what he offers us today.

Youth Worship — Sunday, Mar. 29 10 a.m. • Room 200 This Sunday: On The Side of Forgiveness
This week in youth we’ll look at one of the most powerful moments in the life of Jesus—when, even on the cross, he chose forgiveness. Students will explore what it means to stand “on the side of forgiveness” instead of holding onto anger or seeking revenge. Through real-life examples, we’ll talk about how forgiveness can feel difficult but ultimately brings freedom. Together we’ll wrestle with what it looks like to let go of hurt and trust God with our pain. It’s a meaningful conversation about grace, healing, and choosing a better way forward.

Spring is here. It is time to get outside and make a difference.
Join PUMC’s Eco-Action team for the Town of Plainfield’s Spring Trash Cleanup Day on Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to noon. Together, we will help clean and care for a designated area in our community. The town will provide all supplies. You just bring yourself, your family, and a willingness to serve.
This is a simple, hands-on way to live out our call to care for God’s creation. A few hours of your time can make a visible impact—cleaner streets, greener spaces, and a stronger sense of community.
Bring a friend. Bring your kids. Make it a morning that matters.
Sign up at the Eco-Action table on April 19 or April 26 and be part of something good
Earth Day, celebrated each year on April 22, gives us an opportunity to rethink how we care for God’s creation in our everyday lives.
Over the past year, PUMC’s Eco-Action team has focused on one mission: increasing environmentally friendly actions by reducing, reusing and recycling. That commitment has already led to meaningful changes at PUMC, and we believe there is still more we can do. Earth Day invites all of us to look again at what we have always done and ask where we can make better choices.
This month, we challenge you to rethink your own habits. How can you reduce energy use and material consumption? What items can you reuse instead of replacing? And when something can no longer be used, how can it be recycled rather than thrown away?
To help, Eco-Action will offer special recycling collections on April 19 and April 26 for printer ink cartridges, chargers, flash drives, iPads, and both rechargeable and single-use batteries. After April 26, the collection bin will be moved to the Donation Depot. We will also provide resources to help you find places to recycle items that are harder to dispose of responsibly.
Genesis 2:15 reminds us, “The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it.” God has entrusted us with the care of creation. That calling is ongoing, and it calls us to keep learning, adapting and acting faithfully.
This Sunday is Palm Sunday—and something special is happening.
Students from the Purdue Wesley Foundation, our United Methodist campus ministry at Purdue University, are stepping out of campus life and into the heart of our church for a weekend that connects generations and deepens faith.
They are here March 28–29 for their spring retreat—serving together, sharing meals, building community and preparing to lead alongside us in worship.
Join us for worship:
NewDay Praise Worship — 10 a.m. Worship Annex
And on Sunday, you will see it.
You will feel it.
Then don’t leave.
Stay for a 30-minute forum at 11:15 a.m. in the Worship Annex. Hear directly from the students and Wesley Director Glen Robyne as they share what life and faith look like on campus, what is happening at Wesley and how you can be part of it.
This is more than a visit, it is a connection. It is a glimpse of the future of the Church.
All ages are invited.
Come be part of a church that is growing stronger—together.
Step into meaningful dialogue. On April 18, from 1–3 p.m., join us in the Worship Annex for the Courageous Conversations Workshop.
This interactive training session equips you to navigate difficult or contentious topics facing the church today.
You will practice skills that foster honest dialogue, active listening and respectful engagement. These tools strengthen relationships at church, at home and in everyday life.
Come ready to learn, speak and listen in a safe, friendly and loving environment. Grow in confidence. Lead with grace. Engage with courage.
Join the Staff Parish Relations Committee as we celebrate and send off Eiric Shriner, our Communications Director.
For more than a decade, Eiric has shaped how we tell our story—bringing creativity, excellence and heart to everything he touched. His impact is everywhere, and he will be deeply missed.
Let’s come together to thank him and send him forward with our gratitude and prayers.
Sunday, April 12, after each service. Enjoy light refreshments, and bring a card or gift to place in the reception basket.
Come celebrate. Come give thanks. Come send him off with the love he deserves.
Youth Worship — Sunday, Mar. 22 10 a.m. • Room 200 This Sunday: And Then They Will Know Who We Are
This week in youth we’ll explore Jesus’ powerful words from the Last Supper: “By this everyone will know you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Students will look at how love—not popularity, talent, or influence—is meant to be the defining mark of followers of Jesus. Through discussion and real-life examples, we’ll talk about what that kind of love looks like in friendships, at school, and online. Together we’ll wrestle with the question: if people watched our lives, would they know we belong to Jesus? It’s a reminder that the way we treat others can be one of the clearest ways we show the world who we follow.
