Angel Tree 2024

The Angel Tree Mission is a beautiful way to bring joy to children whose parents are incarcerated and unable to provide gifts. Through this mission, children receive gifts, cookies, a Bible, and a personal message from their parent. You can participate by choosing an Angel from the tree in the Main Lobby, purchasing and wrapping the gift, and returning it by December 8. Other opportunities include volunteering to sort gifts and cookies. Your involvement, no matter how small, makes a huge difference.

Important Dates:

  • Angel Trees: Nov 10, 17, 24 & Dec 1
  • Gifts Due: Dec 8
  • Gift Sort: Dec 8
  • Cookies Due: Dec 13
  • Cookie Sort: Dec 13
  • Gift Delivery: Dec 15

Family Promise Meals: December 1-7, 2024

PUMC is thrilled to support Family Promise by providing meals for families during our hosting week, December 1-7! The families are staying at the shelter house, Almost Home (7233 E. County Road 300 S., Plainfield), where meals are shared family-style. Supper is served at 6 p.m., but you’re welcome to drop off meals earlier if needed.

We invite you to not only prepare a meal but also to stay and share it with the families. It’s a beautiful way to connect, offer encouragement, and build community.

To sign up for a meal, email Mary Raver at mraver@pumc.org. Whether you cook at home or order from a favorite spot, your kindness brings comfort and hope to these families on their journey toward stability.

From Vision to Reality: Celebrating the Success of Transforming for Tomorrow

Thank you so much for your unwavering support of Transforming for Tomorrow! It’s with full hearts and a sense of accomplishment that we can officially say T4T has reached its purpose, and will now be retired. Together, we’ve made incredible strides in revitalizing our beloved church home, enhancing both its functionality and beauty.

With your generosity, we’ve transformed our church spaces in remarkable ways. From a smooth and safe parking lot, to updated and more usable restrooms, each project has helped create a welcoming environment for our community. We now have a vibrant digital sign to share events and updates, fresh new carpet throughout the building, and beautiful, updated lobbies complete with fresh paint and new art. Our main lobby features new seating, and our kitchen has been transformed into a modern, functional space to support fellowship and gatherings. Plus, we’ve added updated room signage and directional signs, inside and out, making our church even more accessible and inviting.

Please join us for a special celebration of T4T’s retirement with Craft and Cookies on Sunday, November 17, at 11:15 in the Worship Annex. Enjoy a fun craft activity that will later become part of our décor, and let’s honor everything we’ve accomplished together. We’re so grateful for your partnership on this journey and can’t wait to celebrate with you!
