Family Promise

PUMC will celebrate its 10th year of working with Family Promise next year. The organization transforms the lives of families experiencing poverty and homelessness in Hendricks County. PUMC provides hot meals for families in an emergency shelter for four weeks yearly. Recently, they finished their fourth week of meal service for seven families. PUMC collects donations for the Stability Builder’s Network, which helps homeless people and those struggling to make ends meet. In December, they collected diapers and will collect laundry detergent in January. Donations can be dropped off in the Door 1 lobby or the Donation Depot.

Missions in the Memo

At PUMC, we support dozens of mission projects that spread God’s message of love. Your financial gifts, donations of supplies, and hands-on service help us advance these projects. Please mark your undesignated gift to PUMC missions as “Missions” in the memo. Doing so will help the Missions Committee distribute the gifts to projects that are in need. Thank you for being so supportive!

Alternative Christmas Gifts

Are you struggling to find a unique and thoughtful gift for someone who already seems to have everything? We suggest making a difference in their name by donating to one of the many admirable ministries at PUMC. Not only will your gift be appreciated, but it will also support a great cause.

Head to the Main Lobby table on December 10th or 17th, 2023 to learn more about the various ministries. You can learn about the different programs and choose one that resonates with you and your gift recipient. You can also ask any questions and get help with the donation process.

Donating to a ministry at PUMC can make the holiday season more meaningful and impactful. Thank you for considering this option, and we hope to see you at the Main Lobby table soon!

Diaper Drive!

Stability Builders Network, a non-profit organization collaborating with Family Promise, urgently needs diapers. Their pantry is running low on supplies, and they need donations of Size 4-7 diapers and Pull-Ups for 3T/4T and 5T/6T.

Your generous donation will help families struggling to make ends meet with young children. The diapers and Pull-Ups will be distributed to needy families through Family Promise’s network of local partners.

If you would like to donate, please drop off new and unopened packages of diapers and Pull-Ups at the Donation Depot located near Door 1. Your contribution will make a big difference in the lives of families and children in need. Thank you for being so supportive!

Seeking Christmas Inflatables for Children’s Christmas Program

As we prepare for the upcoming KIDS@PUMC Children’s Christmas Program, we are reaching out to our congregation for assistance in creating a festive and joyous atmosphere for the event. We are searching for Christmas inflatables to enhance the visual appeal and delight the children during the program.

We would greatly appreciate your contribution if you have any Christmas inflatables you would be willing to lend for the Children’s Christmas Program scheduled for December 13. Your generosity will help us create a memorable and magical experience for the children as they celebrate this special time of year.

Whether it’s cheerful snowmen, jolly Santas, sparkling reindeer, or any other delightful Christmas-themed inflatables, your contributions will add an extra touch of wonder to the event. We kindly ask that any borrowed inflatables be in good condition and suitable for display during the program.
If you can lend Christmas inflatables for this joyful occasion, please get in touch with Charity Aton at caton@pumc.org to coordinate the details. Your support and participation in making this event a success are deeply valued and will undoubtedly bring smiles to the faces of our young attendees.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our congregation for considering this request and contributing to the joy and magic of the KIDS@PUMC Children’s Christmas Program. Thank you for helping us create cherished memories for the children during this festive season.

KIDS@PUMC Christmas Program

The KIDS@PUMC Weekday Childrens Ministry’s Christmas Program is scheduled for Wednesday, December 13th, at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary. The program will include singing, worship, treats, and more to help us celebrate the Christmas season and find meaning in the coming of Jesus. Everyone is invited, especially our weekday families, children, and the young at heart. This is a great opportunity to meet new people across PUMC and celebrate the season together! If you are interested in helping prepare for this event, please contact Charity, our Director of Children’s Ministries & Preschool Programs, at caton@pumc.org.
