Last Saturday Lunch

Plainfield UMC’s Last Saturday Lunch committee is excited to resume offering in-house lunches at the church on August 28, 2021. We will be following new safety guidelines for serving. The LSL committee will evaluate each month moving forward to see if it is safe to continue serving in-house. Join us on Saturday, August 28, between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. in Clayton Hall (Door 14) for an excellent lunch and fellowship. If you know of someone who might need a meal, please advise the church office.

A Taste of Family Promise Picnic

August 15, 2021

Family Promise’s Belonging Group talked a few months ago about how to help people of color feel like they belong in Hendricks County. The group decided the best way for that to happen would be to experience Family Promise! Taste of Family Promise is our first attempt to extend the love, acceptance, empathy, and kindness of Family Promise to others in our community where everyone belongs!

Join us August 15 on the front lawn of the Plainfield Friends Church, 105 S. East St. Plainfield, IN 46168, from 2:00 – 5:00 pm for a free picnic. There will be bounce houses, food, face painting, raffles, giveaways and more!

This event is coordinated by our Family Promise Belonging Group and sponsored through the Hendricks County Community Foundation grant.

Book of James Bible Study

Join Pastor Hannah for a four-week study on the book of James. James is a short letter in the New Testament that offers practical advice for living out our faith. The study will meet on Wednesdays in the Koinonia Room at 7 pm on August 18, August 25, September 1, and September 8. It would be helpful if you bring your Bible; however, this is not necessary. Pastor Hannah will have printouts of the scripture each week. For more information, check out “Next Steps” at pumc.org or the pumc.org kiosk in the main lobby by the blue wall.
