Get ready for a summer filled with fun, faith, and fellowship as we prepare for Vacation Bible School! We’re excited to announce that we’re holding a brainstorming session for VBS on Sunday, March 16th at 11:15 AM in the library.

This is your chance to share your ideas and creativity as we plan an amazing experience for our children. We’re looking for talented individuals who are passionate about sharing their faith and creating a memorable summer program.

We’ll be brainstorming themes, activities, and everything in between, so come prepared to share your thoughts and get involved!

Mark your calendars for Vacation Bible School, which will take place from June 23rd to June 27th, running each evening from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. We can’t wait to see you there!

This Lent, let’s “Come Together” on a journey of spiritual growth! Join us for a six-week study exploring classic spiritual disciplines like prayer, fasting, and solitude, guided by Richard Foster’s Celebration of Discipline.

Beginning Monday, March 10th at 6:00 PM, each session will be led by our pastors and Discipleship Team, offering a blend of discussion, video, and hands-on practice.
Whether you’re a seasoned spiritual seeker or just starting out, this study is for you. We’ll learn how these disciplines can help us deepen our faith and experience a more meaningful connection with God.

Parents and children, get ready for a fun new way to start your Sunday mornings!
Beginning Sunday, March 9th, children will meet their teachers in the service before heading to their classrooms. This means kids can enjoy the whole music set and Children’s Moment before class begins!

Here’s what to expect:

• Greeters will be stationed by each classroom to help direct families to the correct service.
• Teachers will be waiting in the service to greet children and parents.
• Reserved seating will be available for children and teachers.

Don’t worry, the schedule for attending services will remain the same:

• First Sunday: No Sunday School, optional activity in the back of New Day
• Second Sunday: Classic Service
• Third Sunday: New Day
• Fourth Sunday: New Day
• Fifth Sunday: Classic Service

We’re excited to try this new approach, and we believe it will be a great way for kids to engage more fully with the service.

Today in all 3 services at 8:45am and 10:00am is Women’s Ministry Sunday. This is a special day dedicated to celebrating the faith, strength, and service of the women at PUMC. This event highlights the impact of women’s ministry through worship, testimonies, and messages of encouragement. Women take an active role in leading the service, sharing their journeys of faith, and inspiring others through prayer, song, and the Word of God. It is a time to honor their contributions to the church, empower one another in spiritual growth, and strengthen their commitment to serving Christ and the community. All are invited to join in this uplifting and joyous occasion!

After the 10:00am services, women and their families are invited for a short info session to learn more about the United Women in Faith women’s Circles at PUMC. Light refreshments and a panel of women will welcome you in the Worship Annex at 11:15am.

Let’s walk this path of Lent together, preparing our hearts for the joy of Resurrection Sunday. We’ll share a meal, worship, and reflect on the sacrifice and love of Jesus Christ.

Our first breakfast will be held at Plainfield UMC on March 15th at 7:30 AM.

This is a great opportunity to:

Hi everyone! I’m Carey, your new Children’s Ministry Director, and I’m so excited to meet you all!

This Sunday, February 23rd, from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm in the Library, I’m hosting a special Meet and Greet. This is a chance for me to get to know our amazing volunteers and for anyone interested in serving to learn more about our ministry.

Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or just thinking about getting involved, come join me! We’ll be talking about my vision for the future of Children’s Ministry, sharing fun ideas, and answering any questions you might have.

This is also a fantastic opportunity to connect with other volunteers, share stories, and build a strong team.

I can’t wait to see you there! Let’s make this a year filled with joy, learning, and growth for our youngest church members!

Plainfield United Methodist Church is thrilled to share exciting updates on the Reach Beyond project! This initiative is transforming the Worship Annex into a vibrant space for hospitality, outreach, and worship. Thanks to our incredible community, we are so close to making this vision a reality!

Recent Transformations Include:

• Window replacements
• Brand-new carpet replacing 25-year-old flooring
• Upgraded electrical system for a modern, efficient space
• Comfortable seating with side tables and chairs
• Beautiful decorative touches, including a prayer wall and art installations

The total project cost is estimated at $65,000, and thanks to the generosity of our community, we’ve already raised an amazing $55,341.16 as of February 9, 2025! We are now less than $10,000 away from reaching our goal!
