Each month, the men and young men of PUMC—and their guests—gather for more than a meal. We come together for connection, encouragement, and spiritual growth.
Join us for Men’s Breakfast every third Saturday at 8:30 a.m. in the Worship Annex.
Enjoy a hearty breakfast, meaningful conversation, and time in Scripture. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, you’ll find a welcoming space to grow in faith and friendship.
Bring your Bible. Bring a friend. Come hungry—for food, fellowship, and God’s Word.
Mark your calendar—we look forward to seeing you there!

Youth Worship — Sunday, Dec. 21 10 a.m. • Room 200 Theme: There Is Peace
This week, we continue our Advent journey by looking at a word we don’t use very often—but deeply desire: joy. We’ll explore why joy is more than just a bigger, better version of happiness, and how it can exist even when life feels heavy or uncertain. Through the story of the shepherds in Luke 2, we’ll see that real joy isn’t tied to perfect circumstances, but to God’s presence with us. As we head toward Christmas, we’ll ask a simple but challenging question: Where joy is missing, what would it look like to bring it? Read Ahead: Luke 2:8-18

In 2026, Plainfield UMC will again partner with Family Promise to support local families working toward stable housing. We’re inviting volunteers to take one night of meals—providing dinner for the guests in the program. This can be done by an individual, a family, or a small group. Volunteers are also welcome, and encouraged, to stay and share the meal. Staying is optional, but it’s a meaningful way to offer warmth, dignity, and community.
PUMC will provide meals during these weeks:
Jan. 25–31, 2026
April 12–18, 2026
July 12–18, 2026
Nov. 8–14, 2026
We need your help. Choose a night, gather others if you’d like, and sign up to provide a meal. Your care brings comfort and stability to families working hard to rebuild their lives.
For questions or to volunteer, contact: Kathy Karazsia atkarazsia1@aol.com
A shared meal can be a moment of comfort, connection, and hope—let’s show our neighbors they’re not alone.
Join Plainfield UMC’s men, young men, and guests for Men’s Breakfast every third Saturday at 8:30 a.m. in the Worship Annex. Enter through Door 14.
Enjoy a hearty meal, good conversation, and time in Scripture as we grow in faith and fellowship. Whether it’s your first time or you’ve been attending for years, this is a welcoming space to connect with God and one another.
Bring your Bible, bring a friend, and come hungry—for food, fellowship, and God’s Word. All are welcome—just as you are.
As the school year passes its halfway point, many students begin running low on the basics that help them learn and feel prepared. Winter weather also takes a toll—gloves get lost, clothing wears out, and personal care items often run short. For families already stretched thin after the holidays, these needs can be hard to meet.
Your donations help students stay warm, organized, and confident. When children have what they need, they can focus on learning instead of what they’re missing.
Current Needs
Clothing:
Girls/boys joggers (sizes 4/5, 6/7, 7/8); black gloves (adult small & medium—PMS); elementary hats and gloves; trial-size deodorant sticks; small pouches for feminine hygiene products.
School Supplies:
Art boxes; scissors; water bottles; glue sticks; broad-tip and washable markers; colored pencils; dry-erase markers; solid-color folders and plastic 3-hole punched folders; wide-ruled spiral notebooks; mechanical pencils; 3-ring binders (1”–3”); zippered Trapper Keepers.
Every item helps a child finish the year feeling supported and ready to succeed.
Donations can be dropped off at the Donation Depot, located at Door 1.
Youth Worship — Sunday, Dec. 14 10 a.m. • Room 200 Theme: There Is Peace
Peace is everywhere this time of year—on signs, sweaters, and Christmas cards. Yet real peace can feel hard to find. As our Advent series continues, we’ll look at what true peace is and why the peace Jesus offers doesn’t depend on perfect circumstances. We’ll explore how peace can exist even in chaos and how we can share that peace with others. Read Ahead: Luke 2:10–14
