CROP Walk for Hunger

The 2022 Community CROP 4-mile walk for hunger will be held on September 25 at 2:00p.m. CROP (Christian Rural Overseas Program) is sponsored by Church World Services (CWS) and organized by local churches and groups to raise funds to end hunger at home and around the world.

Food pantries across the US report an increase in those needing food, and often the supplies are minimal. 25% of the funds raised stay local, and 75% goes to CWS toward national and international hunger needs, including disaster relief and to help with development efforts worldwide, from seeds to tools to wells to water supplies. We will meet at the Rec center in Plainfield at the Splash Island parking lot (north side of the rec center) at 1:30-1:45 to collect pledges, sign in, and get a group picture. We will leave at 2:00 to walk. If you can’t walk the entire course, just do what you can. We’d love to have you join us!!!

If you can’t participate in the walk but would like to support the walk for hunger with a donation, you can give it online or send a check to the church made out to CWS/CROP.

If you have questions or want to walk, call or email Mary Geible at 317-513-9693 or marygeible50@gmail.com. Watch for the CROP walk table in the narthex to get your sponsor form. Thank you for your continued support!
