Christian Action and Social Issues: Discussion Sept 7 at 7:00 p.m.

As a Christian, what do I do after I watch the news? Social issues trouble us. The list is long: sexuality, racism, gun violence, climate change, human rights, politics, the economy, etc. We all seem deeply divided about how to understand and address these things.

As followers of Jesus, we want to love our neighbors and help our world be more like God would. In addition to prayer, how do we do that? How can we bring constructive actions that move toward solutions rather than simply stirring more strife? What is faithful Christian action in response to social issues? Join Pastor Charlie and his guest, Rev. Rick Bell, as they moderate a discussion around this topic on Wednesday, September 7, at 7:00 p.m. in the Worship Annex.

This event is not a discussion or a vote about any Methodist denominational issues.

Please let Pastor Charlie know your plans to attend at cwilfong@pumc.org or just show up.
