Even though Plainfield UMC has been collecting and delivering food each week in recent months, the Mission Committee planned a special food drive for November 6, 2022, to help emphasize the needs of the local area food pantries during this time of thanksgiving.
On November 6, grocery bags with needed items were available after the 8:45 and 10:00 a.m. worship services. Deliveries of the collected donations will happen between November 13 and 20.
Monetary donations will be gratefully accepted if you cannot make it to the grocery store.
Your help to provide food for hungry people is greatly appreciated.

Mary Martha, Rachel, and Hope Circles of the United Women in Faith will be having a Bake Sale on Sunday, November 20, from 8:30-11:00. Proceeds will go to the Lucille Raines Substance Abuse Recovery House in Indianapolis. Come and enjoy some goodies!

We invite you to come in and pick up a carry-out meal between 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on the second Saturday of the month. Please enter through door 14 and go to the kitchen; someone will be there to get your meal. If you know of someone who might need a meal, visit pumc.org/ministries.

“Serving the Children of Plainfield” is Plainfield United Methodist Church’s (PUMC) “Big Thing.” We asked the school nurses at Plainfield’s elementary and middle schools what items we could collect to help the children.
All donations may be dropped off in the bin marked “Students of Plainfield” at door number 2 (office entrance).
If you have any questions, please get in touch with Sandy Bennett at sdailben@gmail.com.

Don your favorite costume and bring the entire family to a pipe organ concert perfect for all ages! With music ranging from Bach’s famous Toccata & Fugue in D Minor (known to many as the “Phantom of the Opera”) to a medley of tunes from Harry Potter, PUMC’s family-friendly tradition continues with this open-to-all, informal concert.
Wolff von Roos is a young and active organ recitalist who has performed in venues across the United States & Canada. He’s the only one in his class and probably in the whole field of organists that actually wears a cape.

It’s that time of year again, and you are invited! Join Plainfield United Methodist Church (PUMC) and the Guilford Library for a family-friendly night of Halloween fun. Trunk or treat, carriage rides, bounce house, an indoor trick or treating experience, and more will all be available on Simmons Street. Bring everyone you know to this great family-friendly event! We hope to see you on October 27 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m!
You can participate by donating candy or non-candy items, setting up a trunk, providing a game, or just dressing up in costume. Our goal is to provide our community with a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for families to celebrate the fall season. Trunk or Treat on Simmons Street is just one way our congregation shares God’s big love with our community. Don’t forget that a trophy is up for grabs for the most creative trunk design!
