Plainfield UMC is scheduled to provide evening meals for Family Promise the week of December 5-10.
The families are now in the new shelter – Almost Home – at 7233 E. County Road 300 S., Plainfield, IN. Since all the families are staying there now, meals no longer need to be packaged by family. They aim for a 6:00 p.m. supper time. Meals can be dropped off at or before 6:00 p.m. They have a kitchen fully stocked with plates, cookware, utensils, etc.
You are welcome and encouraged to stay and have supper with the families. There will also be a Family Promise overnight staff person there by 6:00 p.m.
We will receive the family information the week before we host to know how many meals are needed. It can be up to six families of varying sizes.
During the holidays, we give thanks. Thank you for providing meals for those working to find a home!
